Why isn't he constantly wanting to fight Yuki?



Poor Kyou, throwing him into Poly has been quite the adventure for him, especially from where I pulled him in the manga. Let's start a little with that. If you're an anime watcher, the Kyou you remember is stubborn, stand-offish, hot-tempered, contantly fighting with Yuki and isn't always the nicest person to everyone, including Tohru. Don't get me wrong, old habits are hard to break but the Kyou that was pulled here is not the Kyou from the anime. In fact after the anime ended, the real Kyou Sohma emerged in the manga.



So...exactly what Kyou is in Poly?

So...there are some issues to think about.

I'm totally open to Crit on all of my characters, I'm used to being ripped to shreds and don't mind it. Really.

I believe comments are screened (if I did it right) but anonymous comments are allowed and I think IP is on...I'll turn it off if I can figure it out.

[Up on the roof of the hospital, sitting on the edge looking out across the city sits one Kyou Sohma. Those who know him well would know just where to find him. When upset he tends to find the tallest point of whatever building he's in and camp out there for long periods of time. He's been here for probably the last day or so. Once he finally couldn't stand staying in the room just waiting for Tohru to come back City!Dead.]

Has it ever just not worked like this before?

I've been here over a year and maybe I just didn't pay attention to how this worked enough. It didn't ever matter to me since I had no need for it. She shouldn't be gone this long. This is something different than normal. What's going on is so different from normal that I worry maybe they are changing their rules.

If I ever find out who did this...

[A loud clattering can be heard as a familiar sound of a communicator as it falls to the ground. The voice that comes over the network is both frantic and hysterical and can still be heard even before the communicator comes to rest.]

HATORI! Oh shit...d-don't you...DAMN IT! She's not breathing! The water...Hatori! Where are you? S-somebody...somebody please. S-so much...so much blood. Come on Tohru, just breathe...

[The sound of motion can be heard as Kyou does his best to get her breathing again.]

[ooc:Raikov pushes a button, Tohru gets hit with the 'DEATH' curse. She stumbled cleaning the Hot Springs, fell in and hit her head hard while Kyou was on the other side. She's drowned and bleeding. She'll be gone for the duration of this curse. Cue Kyou Sohma angst.]

I'd prefer if the temple was covered with people, that they at least stick to the sidewalks.

And at least ten feet away from anyone that lives here.

I'm sure Tohru will want to make sure each of you are warm and comfortable. Just...stay outside.

The leaves of the trees in Xanadu are really changing colors right now. Everything is surrounded by red, orange and yellow, this has always been my favorite time of year. Nature always puts on it's own show and if you haven't been out to visit either the Temple or Hot Springs, now is the perfect time to do so. Both of the facilities are very open and have been decorated for the season, plus the nature display only adds to the environment of each of them. I highly recommend coming out if you haven't visited before. Even just taking a walk in Xanadu is calming surrounded by the changing of the seasons.

Also...the shelter has a large abundance of cats right now. And we obtained a snake...if you like those sort of things.

[And here's Kyou still dressed in his martial arts uniform that he worked out in this morning. If you have spoken with him today you may notice he's a little 'off'. That would be be because he's cursed and since he isn't wearing some ugly lederhosen he's is thirsty enough to be drinking the beer. Drunk? Not so much. Happily tipsy? Yes...and he's enjoying his view.And allowing everyone else to see how cursed his girlfriend is today as well. Thankfully one of them is sober.]

The German barmaid look is good on her. Everyone agrees with me right?

[Kyou fingers one of the braids in her hair that she'd pulled into little loops on her head, strangely affectionate for having an audience. Maybe he's forgotten you all already.]

The signs of that guy leaving are finally slowing down. Back to only having four of us here. Tohru, Hatori, Haru and I...

That being said, if anyone really had their hearts set on one of the dogs from the shelter...I'd get one quickly. They aren't coming in as fast as they used to. I don't know how long any of them will last before they are gone.

If the animal you adopt has ink stains though...I'm sorry. Someone found themselves a little cursed yesterday. She's been trying to clean off everything she claimed yesterday. I'm sorry I wasn't any help in stopping her. She was just so cute, I think I just made things worse by encouraging her. Not only the animals, we might need to repaint a few things. Some of our employees and friends might have gotten caught in her crossfire too.

Uta, I'm sorry I didn't stop her with the clothes. I saw them before she left but...[chuckles] she really wanted to help you. Just wanted to make sure they were returned to her, I guess. Good thing she didn't do laundry yesterday or there would be a lot of ruined clothes today.

I really hope this doesn't come out of my shirt though. Somehow I find being labeled 'I, Tohru Honda respectably claim Kyou-kun as my boyfriend' extremely entertaining. I did manage to keep her occupied for most of the day though. And today too as she keeps trying to wash it all off.

So I just realized tonight that I've been here exactly a year. A whole year straight. Never even being sent home for even a moment. It's strange to think about. I've seen family members come and go and come back again. Shigure and Hatori are here...again. Just like they were when I arrived. Tohru's came and went a couple of times. Haru. Haru's been here even longer than me and I don't think he's gone home ever.

The thing is, unlike most people I don't really mind it here. Sure, the curses can be annoying but they haven't been much more than just disruptive. Over the course of this year I've sort of settled into a life here that I really enjoy. It hasn't been great or anything but really...it feels sort of like home these days.

Though I don't really think that's exactly because of the Temple as much as who all is there.

I guess I'm just curious on what sort of thing I should do for this kind of a milestone. It feels wrong to just let it pass by...

...I think we Tohru has about fifteen cats here needing adopted out. So if anyone is in need of one to keep them company, come inquire at The Temple.

We have had a rash of cats coming in lately that aren't in the greatest of condition. Covered in fleas, ticks and other filth. We've managed to keep them contained to a separate room so I don't think any of the cats we've had here for awhile have been infected. We've been working hard on getting them cleaned up and I think they are now.

I'm wondering how long this little pet project can remain just a project...
