The leaves of the trees in Xanadu are really changing colors right now. Everything is surrounded by red, orange and yellow, this has always been my favorite time of year. Nature always puts on it's own show and if you haven't been out to visit either the Temple or Hot Springs, now is the perfect time to do so. Both of the facilities are very open and have been decorated for the season, plus the nature display only adds to the environment of each of them. I highly recommend coming out if you haven't visited before. Even just taking a walk in Xanadu is calming surrounded by the changing of the seasons.

Also...the shelter has a large abundance of cats right now. And we obtained a snake...if you like those sort of things.

This is mostly for the two new inhabitants to the Temple. I need to sit down with both of you and go over the rules of residing in the temple. We are allowed to live here rent-free in return for providing care to the Hot Springs. That means that several hours of your week need to be devoted to caring for either the actual springs or for the visitors. Even something as small as running several loads of towels when you do your own laundry can be a huge help.

I would prefer to sit down with both of you right now though. I know it's late but there are a few things I need to go over that can't wait until morning. Meet me in the kitchen as soon as you can.

[And here's Kyou still dressed in his martial arts uniform that he worked out in this morning. If you have spoken with him today you may notice he's a little 'off'. That would be be because he's cursed and since he isn't wearing some ugly lederhosen he's is thirsty enough to be drinking the beer. Drunk? Not so much. Happily tipsy? The signs of that guy leaving are finally slowing down. Back to only having four of us here. Tohru, Hatori, Haru and I...

That being said, if anyone really had their hearts set on one of the dogs from the shelter...I'd get one quickly. They aren't coming in as fast as they used to. I don't know how long any of them will last before they are gone.

If the animal you adopt has ink stains though...I'm sorry. Someone found themselves a little cursed yesterday. She's been trying to clean off everything she claimed yesterday. ~~I'm sorry I wasn't any help in stopping her. She was just so cute, I think I just made things worse by encouraging her.~~ Not only the animals, we might need to repaint a few things. Some of our employees and friends might have gotten caught in her crossfire too.

Uta, I'm sorry I didn't stop her with the clothes. I saw them before she left but...[chuckles] she really wanted to help you. Just wanted to make sure they were returned to her, I guess. Good thing she didn't do laundry yesterday or there would be a lot of ruined clothes today.

I really hope this doesn't come out of my shirt though. Somehow I find being labeled 'I, Tohru Honda respectably claim Kyou-kun as my boyfriend' extremely entertaining. I did manage to keep her occupied for most of the day though. And today too as she keeps trying to wash it all off.

OOC: Kyou totally encouraged Tohru yesterday, by stripping his shirt off and encouraging her labeling of him. All over him. He's also not letting her scrub it off him. He's worked too hard to get her to this point, he loved it...

So I just realized tonight that I've been here exactly a year. A whole year straight. Never even being sent home for even a moment. It's strange to think about. I've seen family members come and go and come back again. Shigure and Hatori are here...again. Just like they were when I arrived. Tohru's came and went a couple of times. Haru. Haru's been here even longer than me and I don't think he's gone home ever.

The thing is, unlike most people I don't really mind it here. Sure, the curses can be annoying but they haven't been much more than just disruptive. Over the course of this year I've sort of settled into a life here that I really enjoy. It hasn't been great or anything but really...it feels sort of like home these days.

Though I don't really think that's exactly because of the Temple as much as who all is there.

I guess I'm just curious on what sort of thing I should do for this kind of a milestone. It feels wrong to just let it pass by...

...I think we Tohru has about fifteen cats here needing adopted out. So if anyone is in need of one to keep them company, come inquire at The Temple.

We have had a rash of cats coming in lately that aren't in the greatest of condition. Covered in fleas, ticks and other filth. We've managed to keep them contained to a separate room so I don't think any of the cats we've had here for awhile have been infected. We've been working hard on getting them cleaned up and I think they are now.

I'm wondering how long this little pet project can remain just a project...

For whoever needs to know, ~~Guy~~, Tohru unfortunately has asked me to inform her employers of her choice to not return after her recent leave of absence. If she could speak, I'm sure she'd tell you how sorry she is and how thankful she was to get to work with everyone there. Once her voice returns, I'm sure she'll stop in to visit with everyone.

Naturally we chose to make some changes, which for the time being has placed us in a position we can't really return to our old lives. Shigure, whatever is left in my room or Tohru's apartment you can feel free to sell or get rid of. Tohru managed to get everything important that we wouldn't be able to replace. Things like beds, futons and clothing can be replaced. We won't be returning to that building anymore.

We've found a nice place to live that is appropriate for our needs. If anyone needs anything, it's still easy to get in contact with either of us. We will be around...we just would prefer if no one knew quite where we are residing yet.

I'm not really good at saying things like 'Thank you'...Tohru's usually the one that handles more than enough of those to cover me. Even though she can't speak at the moment, I'm sure you'll quickly realize her feelings by her actions. Just don't let her work too hard or she'll make herself sick trying to repay your kindness.

Both of us are willing to do anything to help around The Hot Springs and The Temple. I'll even do whatever needs to be done in the springs, even if I hate water. Just show us what needs to be done and we'll be glad to do it. All we ask is please keep the fact that we are living here a secret.

As some of you probably already know, Tohru's mother recently left the city. It's been a week now and she's finally starting to respond to things. She's nowhere near back to normal, I don't think she will be for awhile. I do think she's just about ready for some actual human contact though. If you want to see her, let me know now and I'll try to find a time for you to come see her. I don't want to overwhelm her...so everyone better not come at once or anything. Maybe just one or two today?

She's starting to realize she's missed things, like work...so if one of the visitors is from The Hymns of Lorelei...that would probably ease that worry for her. I don't think she's ready to go back though. She may try to convince you otherwise, don't believe her.
